A butterfly’s best friend

The Canadian Tulip Festival begins today and will welcome visitors through May 22nd. This highly anticipated event will take place in Commissioner Park, Ottawa and marks the arrival of spring. People come in huge numbers to witness the stunning display of colourful tulip blooms. This mega festival carries along a lot of history—it began in 1953 and has since then been an epitome of the friendship between Netherlands and Canada.
