The animal kingdom's great migration
The Maasai Mara houses a variety of wildlife, including one of its most iconic inhabitants—the wildebeest. Wildebeests are also referred to as gnus and are native to certain parts of Africa. There are two distinct species, which are differentiated by their physical appearance: black wildebeests and blue wildebeests. These social animals often form large herds that can number in the thousands.
