A road not for the faint of heart

Among the extremely remote roads of North America lies the Trans-Taiga Road. Located in Northern Quebec, this road stretches 666 kilometres east and is entirely unpaved. With coarse gravel and scattered rocks, it is highly recommended to drive a four-wheeler here. And that’s not all. Given its isolated location and lack of service stations, you may want to keep four spare tires along with a survival kit. So, the question begs, why does this dangerous road even exist? It was built to give access to dams and generating stations for Hydro-Quebec. If you have the nerves of steel and are up for a thrilling road trip, the Trans-Taiga Road is the place to visit. Or you can play it safe like us and take in the scenery from our homepage image today.
