Highlighting the legislative building on Labour Day
This Labour Day, we are admiring the Memorial Rotunda dome in the British Columbia Parliament building in the city of Victoria. The legislative buildings were conceptualized in a Renaissance and Romanesque style by architect Francis Rattenbury. Completed in 1897, the parliament buildings are Victoria’s landmark sites and home to the Legislative Assembly as well as government offices. Tourists and locals can get a closer look by taking a free guided tour that’s available all through the year.
