Mount Khomyak
These trees are on Mount Khomyak in Ukraine. At just over 1,500 metres tall, Mount Khomyak is one of many peaks rising among the majestic Carpathian Mountains. The range forms an arc along Central and Eastern Europe. About 1,500 kilometres long, the Carpathians is the third-longest European mountain range. While 50% of the Carpathians spread along Romania, 10% of the range is in Ukraine. The steep and rocky Mount Khomyak is popular with hikers and close to the ski resort of Bukovel.
