Today, we’re visiting Nahanni National Park Reserve in northern Canada. This beautiful park was one of the first natural locations to be listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1978. It covers 30,000 square kilometres and contains wild rivers, deep canyons, huge waterfalls and a limestone cave system. Grizzly bears, black bears and moose are among the 42 species of mammals that have been recorded in the park, while there are also 180 species of birds. There are no public roads here, so most visitors travel to the park by a chartered floatplane.
